I am not and never will be over the fact that Eugenides does his big reveal that he is in fact a manipulative and cunning genius who has quietly masterminded the downfall of one of the most powerful houses of Attolia while tucked up in his wife’s bed, wearing her floral nightie.
eugenides, who is used to playing all kinds of different things he isn’t (gutter rat, kitchen boy), will not settle for Acting. he won’t act like a king to win their approval. he will *be* a king or he won’t be.
king of attolia being like. you don’t know this guy but he just punched his boss in the face and now he’s gonna get promoted in punishment. you love him now
big fan of characters with abandonment + attachment issues so profound that they leave claw marks in everything they touch but would sooner gnaw off their own leg than admit they just want someone to stay for once. in a totally normal well adjusted and not at all projecting way of course.
